The team at Farrow Harley-Davidson® is thrilled to announce that we now have all of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sport category models available. The Harley-Davidson® Sport category models are among the models that we get the most questions about, and this likely has to do with how new the Sport family is. After all, it was only introduced last model year. The primary goal with this new category was to reimagine the Sportster® as if it had been first designed now rather than almost seven decades ago.
Sportster® S
That core design goal resulted in the Sportster® S, which is perhaps one of the most intriguing models available at Farrow Harley-Davidson® because it is so different than everything else in the Harley-Davidson® lineup. It’s not technically a sports bike but the closest to one that the brand has ever designed. Some journalists have referred to it as a muscle cruiser, and performance-oriented cruise fits the bill as well. Unlike most of Harley-Davidson®’s cruisers, this one has a liquid-cooled power train: Revolution® Max 1250T. This is the same powertrain found on the Pan America™ 1250, but here it has a different combustion shape, which was chosen in order to add more torque at the low and mid ranges.
Nightster®
While the Sportster® S breaks away greatly from tradition, the Nightster® is much more of a compromise. It’s definitely more modern in terms of its powertrain and technologies, but it’s also the option among the Harley-Davidson® Sport category models that maintains the classic silhouette that so many enthusiasts love. The Revolution® Max 975 is not quite as powerful as the 1250T but powerful enough to deliver a performance experience, and this is very much a motorcycle aimed at the rider who wants a performance cruiser but prefers the traditional look and feel of a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.
Nightster® Special
The Nightster® Special is the newest of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sport category models have been added this model year. It’s aimed at the enthusiast who wants the Nightster® but also a premium aesthetic and some of the advanced features that had previously been exclusive to the Sportster® S. The premium color options are Black Denim, Bright Billiard Blue and Industrial Yellow. This model gets the LCD screen from the Sportster® whereas the standard Nightster® has an analog display. With the Nightster® Special, you also get the selectable ride modes, including a custom mode.
