The Sport family now available at Farrow Harley-Davidson® is one of the newest additions to the lineup having been introduced for the 2022 model year. There are a couple of different but intertwining goals when it came to developing this new category. One was to expand into the ever-popular sportbike segment and to do so by offering motorcycles unique to the Harley-Davidson® brand. Another had to do with the Sportster®. When introduced back in the 1950s, it was called such because it was a performance-oriented bike, but that changed over the years as the brand remained true to its cruiser roots.
The impetus with the Harley-Davidson® Sport category models, therefore, was to reimagine the Sportster® as if it had been first designed in the 2020s and not the 1950s. That effort gave rise to the Sportster® S, which as the brand puts it, is the first chapter in a whole new book of the Sportster® saga. It delivers exhilarating performance due to the liquid-cooled Revolution® Max 1250T powertrain and a high exhaust mount. It also has advanced rider-assistance technologies, such as cornering-enhanced antilock braking along with selectable ride modes: Sport, Road, Raid, and a custom mode.
But Harley-Davidson® faced a conundrum in that the ultra-modern Sportster® S may not appeal to its core audience, and that gave rise to the Nightster™. The Nightster™ is still very modern and has a liquid-cooled Revolution® Max 975 powertrain, but it maintains the classic Sportster silhouette and gives the rider more of a traditional cruiser experience. The newest of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sport category models is the Nightster™ Special. It offers premium color options, such as Black Denim, Bright Billiard Blue, and Industrial Yellow. It also gets the LCD screen and selected ride mode system from the Sportster® S. Visit us near London OH. Also serving Delaware, Mount Vernon, and Marion Ohio.
